Manchester United defeat to Bournemouth last week stopped a run of three consecutive victories for the Red Devils. An early goal by Josh King was all that was required for the Cherries to come away with all three points.
United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a lot of work to do in his bid to revamp the team as they look incapable of putting on an extended run of form. It must be painful for United fans to watch as their darling team has become the laughing stock of the Premier League.
There had been speculations from many that the team was likely to falter against Bournemouth and these predictions came true. Solskjaer has a decent defence with Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, and Lindelof.
Although the backup options are not ideal with the likes of Rojo and Ashley Young looking past their best. The current travails plaguing the club further shows the sort of work that Ferguson achieved during his time at the club.
Solskjaer appears incapable of changing things around with the Norweigian looking out of depth this season. However United only needs to look at Chelsea to know that they may need to give the manager more time with the team.
The midfield appears to be the problem as it is bereft of ideas since the injury to Paul Pogba. The French international is erratic and has been unable to offer consistent performances since making the move from Juventus.
United fans will be hoping that the team are able to be within the Champions League spots by the time of the January transfer window. It is understood that the club will be willing to splash big on new signings.
